I designed and validated a 0 to 1 omni-channel web app that automates a series of complex insurance workflows.

Summary

Our users were using email to manage document signature and financing agreements, so my team created a DocuSign integrated Web App that automated the entire process.

Journey Mapping

An in-person journey mapping activity was preformed with key stakeholders. This journey map was later translated into a digital map. This journey map ensured stakeholder alignment. An outcome of this activity was a clearer idea of the software's necessary requirements.

Design System

A design system was created an approved by our client then the prototypes were built in Axure.

Product Concept & Testing with Users

Before low and high fidelity UI design, the new concept needed to be validated. 14 different users and 3 distinct concepts were shown.


A lot of valuable feedback about the concept was collected from these tests. This feedback was used to enhance confusing areas or solve for unforeseen gaps in the solution.

High Fidelity UI Designs & Usability Tests

After concept validation, low and high fidelity wireframes were made and tested with users.

UI designs were created in Axure then connected together to create a clickable prototype. The clickable prototype was used for additional user testing.

Developed Application

The developed application mirrored the high fidelity prototype in many ways. The integration with Docusign was a success!

Results

The application now serves 500+ companies reducing the time to complete insurance financing agreements from over a week of manual communication to less than a day.
